Dubbed “The Black Sundance,” the Hollywood Black Film Festival (HBFF) is an annual 4-day celebration of Black Cinema drawing together established filmmakers, popular film and TV stars, writers, directors, industry executives, emerging artists, and diverse audiences from Southern California and around the world. HBFF’s INFOTAINMENT CONFERENCE features a wealth of informational panels and workshops covering a wide variety of topics which include: film production, distribution and marketing, pitching, writing for television and film, in addition to specific programs designed to inform and educate actors.

With more than 15 years of experience, Datari Turner has worked along side some of the biggest names in entertainment including Sean "Diddy" Combs, Jay-Z, Russell Simmons, Demi Moore, Tim Story, Francis Lawrence, Bruce Webber, and the late Herb Ritts to name a few.

In 2011 and 2012, as a feature film producer, Datari produced a total of eleven films. Turner produced films “Another Happy Day” and “Salvation Boulevard” both premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2011 with “Another Happy Day” winning the prestigious Waldo Salt Award for Best Screenplay. “Another Happy Day” starred Hollywood heavy weights Demi Moore, Ellen Barkin and Oscar winner Ellen Burstyn. “Salvation Boulevard” starred Oscar Winners Marisa Tomei and Jennifer Connolly in addition to A- List veterans Pierce Brosnan and Ed Harris.
